Radio Documentary: Keep Carrying On

After launching with Carry On Sergeant in 1958, and with the subsequent release of thirty other films, the Carry On film series built a dedicated fanbase, and became a British institution. But, in recent months, ‘cancel culture’ has taken hold, and has had some impact on what were - at the time, and arguably still are - comedy gold.

With music from the Prague Symphony Orchestra and clips from the films, this documentary also includes contributions from Robert Ross (Comedy Historian) and Morris Bright MBE (Chairman, Elstree Studios and Leader, Hertsmere Borough Council) - both of whom have published several Carry On books, and appeared in and produced Carry On related documentaries.
